ENTERED YET?
Where are all the Kiwi supercross riders?
The call has gone out for New Zealand’s supercross stars to front up at the big international event inside the Waikato Stadium next weekend (November 21).
The Lites class in this sixth round of seven in the Monster Energy Super X series is reserved for the Kiwis but entry numbers are way down, according to one of the men helping to promote the event, Australian legend Kevin Williams.
Williams, known for his successful promotion of the Australian senior motocross championships, contacted Motorcycling New Zealand motocross commissioner Mike McLeod with this offer:
“If riders are keen, we will give them extra practice to get dialled in. They can run whatever numbers and backgrounds you have in NZ.
“All they need to do is fax me the entry by Tuesday and pay on the day.
“We really need to have at least 20 in the open class and 20 in the Lites.
“We will find it very hard to come back (to New Zealand) without getting good numbers. The Lites is run under your (NZ) rules, as far as capacity is concerned.”
Riders should contact Kevin Williams immediately, via fax at: 0061 3-56592177
