Spain’s Alvaro Bautisa and his Aruba.it Racing Ducati Team is ready for the last World Superbike Championships (WSBK) weekend before the summer break.
After England’s round five at Donington Park and the stunning World Ducati Week held in Misano, riders Alvaro Bautista (pictured here), Italy’s Michael Rinaldi, and the rest of the Aruba.it Racing Ducati team have already arrived in Most, in the Czech Republic, where the sixth round of the 2022 WSBK will be contested this weekend.
Bautista arrives at Most as the championship leader (17 points ahead of Britain’s six-time former world champion Jonathan Rea, Kawasaki).
Coming off a convincing round at Donington, Rinaldi will climb aboard his Ducati Panigale V4R with the goal of further reducing the gap to fourth place (he is 5 points behind Italian Andrea Locatelli).
Both the Ducati riders will have the additional stimulus of chasing a prestigious goal this weekend – aiming for the 1000th podium for Ducati (currently counting 999) in the World Superbike Championships.
“It will be the first time for me on this circuit with the Ducati Panigale V4R,” said Bautista.
“For this reason, it will be very important to find soon the right direction in terms of set-up and at the same time start working on different tyre solutions.
“However, there is great confidence in light of the good race we had on Sunday after race one at Donington.”
