This year’s MX Fest at Taupo had it all, with all the bike brands featuring prominently at the traditional Kiwi motocross season opener over Labour Weekend.
Honda’s Cody Cooper won the Speedcross event on Saturday evening and then went on to dominate the MX1 class the following day; Kawasaki’s Josiah Natzke won the MX2 class on a count-back from Yamaha’s Josh Coppins; Husqvarna’s Cohen Chase won the senior 125cc class and Yamaha’s Kayne Lamont celebrated winning the Nicky Smith Memorial Trophy for the third season running.
