Kiwi international Ben Townley is sick and tired of reading stories about his injuries and his lean times in the title-winning department.
He’s not being sensitive and freely admits that the media has to focus on these issues whenever a story needs to be written about the former world champion, former US supercross champion, Motocross of Nations race winner and multi-time former Kiwi champion.
It’s just that the word “former” is something he wants desperately to eradicate from the list of words currently being associated with the Townley name.
And he plans to start putting that right in the very near future.
“Yes, I’ll be giving the reporters something fresh, new and positive to write about in the next few months. Just you watch this space,” he declared.
In the meantime, BikesportNZ.com was privileged to be granted an exclusive, private photo session with Townley as he had his first practice ride on the new Carlton Dry Honda CRF450.
