The sand of Southwick, Massachusetts, proved a tough workout for many of the AMA motocross stars in the United States at the weekend.
Rookie Justin Barcia took his first 250 class win at Southwick, while Ryan Dungey stole the points lead in the 250cc class.
It wasn’t such a great weekend for New Zealand’s Cody Cooper (pictured above), who managed only 13th and 25th in his two 450cc class outings.
However, Cooper hangs on to eighth in the series standings.
The 450cc title had been wrapped up by Australian Chad Reed at the previous round so it probably didn’t matter too much when he crashed out at Southwick.
Here’s a little video clip from that event.
