Hokianga’s Mitchell Nield wants to “hit the Roof”.

And, with that in mind, a charitable auction has been arranged to assist the New Zealand under-200cc enduro champion to tackle the “Roof of Africa”, rated as one of the toughest endurance motorcycle races in the world.

The fundraiser is this Saturday, September 10, at Rock Salt, Kerikeri, starting at 5.30pm.

Dinner (bookings essential) is set for 5.45pm ($30), with the auction at 7pm sharp.

Northland businesses have donated generously and there is something for everyone, from building supplies to a Play Station, DVD player, BBQ and  accommodation, just to name a few.
