BATTLE WITH ILLNESS OVER
Well-known, well-liked and greatly-respected Australian motocross rider, coach and journalist Paul Broomfield has died.
The 36-year-old “Broomy” passed away at 4.15am this morning after a long battle with illness (aplastic anemia).
After a German donor was found, Broomfield underwent a bone marrow transplant at the end of last month in an effort to overcome the illness but sadly the transplant was unsuccessful.
Always the life of the party, Broomy will be sadly missed.
He is survived by his wife and children.
His funeral will be held in New South Wales on Monday.
The family wants to celebrate his life, and therefore requests attendees turn up in riding jerseys, team shirts, etc, to brighten up the day. Dress is strictly race spec!
