BikesportNZ.com is shocked and saddened to hear of the multi-bike incident at Oulton Park which has taken the life of popular Kiwi rider Shane Richardson.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with the family and friends of Shane (pictured), a smooth and exciting rider and much-loved member of the New Zealand motorcycle racing family.
The Wainuiomata man, a 29-year-old father of two, was competing in the Supersport class at the opening round of the British Superbike Championship.
We extend our thoughts also to fellow Kiwi racer, Morgan McLaren-Wood, who was also involved in the crash and was treated at the track for minor injuries.
