The 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship recently concluded its first quarter with the return to the Italian mainland for the classic “Il Ciclamino” circuit at Pietramurata.
The MXGP of Trentino is one of 33 circuits in Italian territory to play host to a Motocross Grand Prix and it was here, at what was round five of the series, that multi-time former champion Antonio Cairoli (pictured here) dusted off his helmet and boots to step in for the then injured Ducati factory team rider Mattia Guadagnini and have another crack at racing at the elite level.
Nine-time World Champion Antonio Cairoli took to the circuit for Aruba.it Ducati Factory MX Team at the age of 39.
His five wins at this venue included the most recent GP win of the Sicilian legend’s career, in October 2021, and it was felt that this might probably be the last ever GP of his incredible time as a racer.
Join us here as we go behind the scenes with Cairoli at his “return” to top-class racing last month.
