Learn what really happened to the flying Kiwis — Hamish Harwood, Kayne Lamont, Rhys Carter and Ben Townley — as they took on  the best that Australia could offer at the Conondale circuit near Coloundra, just north of Brisbane.

As it stands, Harwood is still second in the MX2 class across the Tasman, while Lamont is ranked seventh overall after seven rounds thus far.

In the MX1 class, Carter is ninth overall, while recently-retired and now-infrequent racer Townley is 15th in the standings, despite missing most of the rounds.

BikesportNZ.com was there and we can confirm that it is not all as it seems when you can only look at results on paper.
