BACK TO FRANCE
There’s been a change of plans.
Latvia remains the venue for next year’s Motocross of Nations, the traditional “Olympic Games of Motocross” that signals the end to the motocross year, but the venues for the years that follow have been slightly altered.
Instead of Glen Helen in the United States hosting this great event in 2015, France is the new host country and the American Continent has been bumped a couple of years and will now host in 2017, while France last hosted the Motocross of Nations, at St Jean d’Angely, near Cognac, in 2011.
Youthstream has finalised an agreement with the French Motorcycle Federation (FFM) and the Moto Club of Ernée to bring the FIM Motocross of Nations back to Ernée, near Rennes, on the weekend of the September 26 and 27, 2015. This venue last hosted the MXoN in 2005.
After a very long break, on September 24 and 25, 2016, the FIM Motocross of Nations will be returning to Italy at the famous location of Maggiora, which celebrated one of the best motocross events in 1986.
Italy last hosted the Motocross of Nations, at Franciacorta, near Brescia, in 2009.
And, last but not the least, the weekend of September 23 and 24, 2017, will see the historical event back to the United States, at Glen Helen, California.
The United States last hosted the Motocross of Nations at Lakewood, Denver, Colorado, in 2010.
