Palmerston North’s Sherwood may be known as the ‘Rubber Kid’ but the Kiwi motocross rider stretched the realms of possibility when he first landed the FMX no-hander double back-flip.
The 25-year-old pulled off the feat at his riding compound in Palmerston North (pictured here), a trick he first attempted simply because he was “bored”. Then he went to Madrid, in Spain, for the X-Fighters and the rest is history.
Remember that you can see Sherwood performing at the 2019 Monster Energy S-X Open Auckland at Mount Smart Stadium on November 16.
This event will feature some of the world’s best riders going head-to-head on a full-sized World Championship style Supercross track and the spectacle will also include some of the greatest Freestyle Motocross (FMX) riders on the planet, live music and entertainment, stunning pyrotechnics, junior and celebrity races, plus FMX best-trick and best-whip competitions.
