KTM continued its dominance this season with another podium sweep at the 11th round of 17 in the 2019 AMA Supercross Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Marvin Musquin raced to his first main event victory of the year, while team-mate Cooper Webb secured a solid third to maintain the 450SX Championship points lead for yet another week.
KTM’s Blake Baggett earned his fourth podium finish of the season with an impressive second-overall behind Musquin.
It was an all-around good day for Musquin, who qualified second in the 450SX class and went on to secure a solid second-place transfer into the Main Event. Musquin kept his momentum rolling as he powered his KTM to the holeshot in the main event. Despite much action behind him, Musquin remained poised and in control of the race as he led all 26 laps of the Main Event to secure his first victory of 2019 in Indianapolis.
“It’s always a tough track here in Indy, but it’s always been good to me,” said Musquin.
“I won twice on the 250 and now twice on the 450, so obviously I love coming here. I thought about it coming into the weekend and, you know, I won here last year so I was excited for the racing and I think it showed tonight.”
Meanwhile, Webb left round 11 with his eighth podium finish of the year and the red number plate mounted to his KTM.
