CHAMPIONS EMERGE FROM MUD
Rain fell on the two-day North Island Junior Motocross Championships near Te Kuiti at the weekend but spirits were not dampened and champions emerged from the mud with smiles on their faces to accept glory in all seven separate classes.
In fact, conditions improved dramatically over the weekend, starting out as a hopeless bog, with results something of a lottery, but ending with perfect race conditions as warm sun quickly dried it all out by Sunday afternoon.
The various class winners were:
14-16 years, 250cc: Aaron King (Otorohanga, Honda)
15-16 years, 125cc: Camden Butler (Masterton, Yamaha)
12-14 years, 125cc: Tony Cvitanovich (Feilding, KTM)
13-16 years, 85cc: Maximus Purvis (Mangakino, KTM)
11-12 years, 85cc: James Scott (Oparau, Kawasaki)
8-10 years, 85cc: Brodie Connolly (Matamata, KTM)
8-11 years, 65cc: Seth Henson (Rongotea, KTM)
