Some of the BikesportNZ.com crew are now back in New Zealand after a short working holiday in Germany, Britain and the United States and they’re thrilled to see the machine has kept ticking over while they were away.
Even while Andy, Alex and Tom were away, and getting sidetracked at times to visit such interesting and unique sites as the former World War Two POW camp Colditz Castle (pictured above) or the South Bank in central London (pictured below, right), BikesportNZ.com managed to keep supplying the nation’s mainstream media with material and motorcycling continued to have a presence in New Zealand’s key newspapers and other media outlets.
Unlike so many other sites, we don’t just half-wittedly cut and paste other people’s words and pictures from PR items, brainlessly re-broadcasting the same content that is displayed everywhere else.
But, as well as posting a huge chunk of home-grown material on this site, every single week, BikesportNZ.com breaks through the invisible barrier to give the motorcycling community – be it fans of motocross, supercross, enduro, cross-country racing, trials riding or superbikes – wicked widespread coverage in the nation’s mainstream media.
We manage to push motorcycle sport into the mass media forefront, often ahead of the “traditional” Kiwi sports such as rugby, cricket and netball.
