His visa problems finally sorted out, the young Suzuki star from Mangakino is ready to make his 2011 season debut in the UK.

He races at the third round of the Red Bull Pro Nationals at Whitby, in Yorkshire, this weekend, where he will be joined by fellow New Zealand motocross riders John Phillips, Bjarne Fredericksen, Kieran Scheele and Emma Davis, all members of the Kiwi DBG Suzuki Team, managed by former Hawke’s Bay man Rex Michau.

Lamont will race for the high-profile Rob Hooper Suzuki team and, although the BikesportNZ.com rider has now missed the opening couple of rounds of the British Motocross Championships because of bureaucratic foul-ups in processing his visa, the former New Zealand junior motocross champion’s appearance in the UK is eagerly anticipated.
