Rotorua’s John Phillips will be mixing it with the really big boys this weekend.

The Kiwi DBG Suzuki Team has set up pits at St Jean d’Angely, near Bordeaux,  for the second round of the UEM EMX2 Championship which shares the programme with this weekend’s world motocross championship French GP.

He is the sole Kiwi entered in the UEM EMX2 Championship and it will be his first taste of true GP-level racing.

The Kiwi DBG Suzuki Team is managed by former Hawke’s Bay man Rex Michau.
