MARK YOUR CALENDARS
Mark your calendars for the Te Puke Motorcycle Club’s Endurocross 2011 on February 12.
This event is coming up FAST. Details are: 64 Riders only, pre-entry only, cost $50 (includes 2 x gate passes).
Excellent spot prizes and $1000 in prize money split over the first 6 places.
Entries close January 6.
Mokau enduro ace Adrian Smith (Yamaha YZ125) won last year’s edition of the race, finishing ahead of Auckland’s Karl Power (Honda CRF250), with Napier John O’Dea, riding a 450cc Suzuki to finish third.
The event attracts the cream of New Zealand’s off-road fraternity, including such riders as local men Chris and Paul Singleton and Reece Burgess (pictured above).
According to the organisers, the track this year will be better than last year’s (which everybody loved), it will have tyres, rocks, old cars, logs, culvert pipes, jumps and strainer posts between speed sections.
And yes, the Red Bull girls will be there.
The event has already attracted a lot of interest from riders and sponsors alike, some of these being: Allied Asphalt, MotoSR, Paengaroa Sands, HireQuip, Coastline Honda, Farmlands, Ramsay Roundwood, Rock Oil, 2 Wheel Wholesale, Anderson Contracting, Thomas Transport, H2 Orchard Contractors, Metalman.
Confirmed entries have been received already from Dion Sheely, Sean Clarke, Jesse Clarke, Phillip Cheater, Sam Greenslade, Sean Prescott, Colin Box, Phil Singleton, Reece Burgess, Chris Singleton, Paul Singleton, Murray Jensen, Merv Heard. There is also the possibility of David Knight attending.
