It was all the usual suspects racing at the front when the third round of five in this season’s Vintage Motocross Championships hit Ferndene, near Inglewood, at the weekend.

The bikes on show may have been 20 or 30 years old, but the racing was still fast and furious and very close.

As at the earlier rounds, it was riders such as Danny Williamsen, Tom Vandenberg,  Stan Jones, Steve Gallichan, Peter McIntyre, Karl Brown, Bill Doe, Craig Stevens, Rik Lawlor, Warren Summers, Ross McKenzie, Andrew Maisey, Simon Stannard, Kevin Hermansen and Mark Fergusson who were featuring at the front.
