The 2023 MXGP World Championships wrapped up in September and, believe it or not, the start of the 2024 edition of the competition is already just around the corner.
And riders are putting into place all the plans and the tools they will need to be competitive, including Spain’s Ruben Fernandez, a rapidly rising star in the sport.
Fernandez had an action-packed debut season with Team HRC this year, winning his first MXGP race in Argentina and also landing on the podium numerous times throughout 2023.
He finished with an overall world ranking of No.5 this season, ending up behind fellow Spaniard Jorge Prado, Frenchman Romain Febvre, Swiss rider Jeremy Seewer and Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff.
However, the young Spaniard isn’t satisfied and is aiming to go even better when the 2024 World Motocross Championships start in March.
Watch this video as he talks about his expectations.
