REVO Seven Kawasaki rider Dylan Walsh has signed a contract to become a Monster Energy athlete for the 2022 race season, just as he moves to compete in the USA.
The young Kiwi rider headed over to the United States towards the end of the 2021 British Motocross Champs and MXGP race season, to get prepared for the 2022 Monster Energy Supercross race season that kicks off in Angels Stadium in Anaheim this weekend.
“I’m absolutely stoked to join Monster Energy, it’s been a lifelong dream of mine, looking forward to a great year,” he said on social media.
The former British MX2 champion has raced the Motocross World Championships in Europe for the past couple of seasons, but now he’s about to embark on a whole new adventure.
“I am really excited to get to the USA and start our new journey competing in the West coast lites Supercross championship,” explained Walsh.
“It has been my ultimate dream since I was a kid so I can’t thank the whole Revo Seven Kawasaki team enough for the opportunity. We have a really strong 250 Kawasaki machine and a family like team so I think we can do something special so can’t wait to get going!”
The opening round of 17 in the American supercross series kicks off in Anaheim, in California, on Sunday (NZ time).
