The Christchurch Off-Road Motorcycle Club regrets to advise that they have had to postpone the 2021 Michael Godfrey Memorial Motocross and it will now run on the weekend of August 7-8, 2021.
It had originally been set to run on June 5-6.
“Once again Mother Nature has been very unkind to us – first, torrential rain in 2019, second, COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and now a drought in 2021. We have now had the trifecta of bad luck,” said club secretary Gretchen Pirika.
“As most of you know, North Canterbury is in drought at the moment, and it is not viable for us to run, especially with the scale and magnitude of this particular event.
“Our committee has done everything in their power to get this event over the line, however we just could not make it happen unfortunately. A big thank you to the Stackhouse family for everything you have done for us over the last few months/years, we could not ask for a more co-operative and understanding family.
“Countless hours have gone into the preparation already. We will confirm more details over the next few weeks. All entries will instantly roll over to the new date.”
If riders would like are refund, they are advised to please email Adele May at Timing Tech and she can arrange this for you. Please note that once your refund is processed that you are no longer entered and you will need to re-enter at a later date.
