RICKY ON THE RISE

Considered the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) in American motocross, Ricky Carmichael could now be heading down the same path on four wheels.
The Florida native and his No.4 Monster Energy Chevrolet Silverado KHI All-Stars team started the Built Ford Tough 225 truck from the third position in the Truck Series race at Kentucky Speedway at the weekend.
That qualifying result marked the third time in 2009 Carmichael has started third, his career-best starting position to date since transferring from motocross to four-wheeled racing after his 2007 Motocross of Nations winning team ride.
Running in the top 10 for most of the night, Carmichael’s truck was caught one lap down on the leaders following a round of green-flag pit stops, but he was able to earn the “lucky dog” award late in the race to put the team back on the lead lap.
Carmichael was able to battle back and score his career-best finish of seventh and the best finish for the No. 4 Monster Energy team in 2009.
