Murray Bridge played host to the first of this year’s double header rounds for the Australian Motocross Championships at the weekend.
The Thor MX1 class roared into life Saturday morning, consisting of practice/qualifying and a two moto format, Luke Clout took out Superpole in the morning before the No.1 plate of Dean Ferris would prove his dominance, in both motos and go on for a clean sweep for Saturday, ahead of Luke Clout and Hayden Mellross.

Sunday would see the Thor MX1 class challenged with the three moto format, consisting of practice/qualifying in the morning followed by two back to back gruelling motos then a traditional moto in the afternoon.
Ferris took out Superpole but went onto struggle throughout the day while Clout dominated both the back to back motos, and finished a soild second in the afternoon moto behind a very strong Todd Waters.

MX2 CLASS
The Pirelli MX2 class was put to work across Saturday with the three moto format, consisting of practice/qualifying in the morning followed by two back to back gruelling motos then a traditional moto in the afternoon.
Kyle Webster was the man to beat from the start of the day, taking out P1 in timed qualifying and winning both back to back motos, however Wilson Todd rebounded in the last moto and proved why he is the current red plate holder in the third moto of the day.

Sunday went back to the more traditional format with practice/qualifying in the morning and a two moto format throughout the day, Webster took out the first moto ahead of Bailey Malkiewicz and Jay Wilson. Wilson Todd was a dominate force in the second moto followed by Webster and Nathan Crawford.

MX DEVELOPMENT CLASS
The Motul MXD class again was one not to be missed with plenty of action across both days and all four motos.
Regan Duffy took out timed qualifying on Saturday but struggled in the first moto finishing 3rd behind Brodie Ellis and a very strong Maximus Purvis (pictured above). Moto 2 would see Duffy take the win followed by Purvis and Rhys Budd

Sunday would see Purvis again win moto 1, followed by Duffy, and Jack Kukas, moto 2 was Duffy’s race from start to finish followed by Mason Rowe and Purvis
