FUNDS FOR GLOBAL CONFLICT
Five weeks and counting until the New Zealand Battle of the Clubs fundraising event, May 29 at the Digger McEwen Motocross Track in Taupo.
With a steady stream of entries for the MXoN fundraiser, Saturday, May 29, the Taupo Motorcycle Club is gearing up for a “hell of a day”.
Riders are coming from near and far; spectators will be well entertained with fierce racing out in the rough pumice of Digger McEwen track.
Club pride will be at stake for each and every rider; team tactics will certainly play an important part in their race plans. The concept of this race is to help with fundraising for the New Zealand MXoN team, at the same time creating a bit of good old-fashioned rivalry and spirit among the motorcycling clubs of New Zealand.
Wayne Wilson from the Manawatu Orion Motorcycle Club has very kindly donated a kayak from Q Kayaks of Ashhurst. This will be raffled over the weekend in Taupo with all proceeds going toward the MXoN funds account. (The club thanks Wayne for this is very generous contribution. The Taupo club also appreciates the support from the Manawatu Orion Motorcycle Club).
The Taupo Motorcycle Club is looking forward to a fun and festive days racing followed by a barbeque & bar facility at the prize-giving.
A gold coin donation by all who enter the Digger McEwen Motocross track on Saturday May 29, 2010.
Entry forms are available at www.taupomcc.co.nz or www.mnz.co.nz
