WINDING BACK THE CLOCK

We here at BikesportNZ.com take literally thousands of photos at the dozens of events we travel to, but, the shame is, most never see the light of day.

So we have decided to trawl through our archives and dig out some of those shots that either have never been seen before or simply that rate among our favourites and deserve a second viewing … we are calling it our “weekend wind-back”.

Our aim is not to embarrass anyone and we won’t always feature crash shots, although they often are the most spectacular.

Among the riders featured here are the bikes lined up before the start of the Tarawera 100 in 2006; the Team Green Kawasaki riders of 2005, Brad Groombridge, Rhys Carter and Katherine Prumm; Wellington rider Jayden Jessup; American MX and SX star James ‘Bubba’ Stewart in 2006; Suzuki team-mates in 2007, Scott Columb and Luke Burkhart; Woodville MX GP women’s class winners of 2007, Katherine Prumm, Danielle Jack and Emma Davis; motocross legend Stefan Everts racing at the famous Namur circuit in Belgium; Hawera’s Daryl Hurley in the pits in Australia in 2005, the year he won the national open class motocross title there; Katherine Prumm again and Stefan Everts again, reading Kiwi Rider magazine in the pits at Namur.
