Big winners after the first day of the annual Honda Whakatane Summercross included Taupo’s Cohen Chase and Oamaru’s Joel Meikle.

Both riders are supported by BikesportNZ.com but that didn’t stop them waging their own private war in the 12-17 years 125cc class today.
