CROSS-COUNTRY AT HARRISVILLE
Cross Country racing returns to MR Motorcycles Raceway at Harrisville, just south of Pukekohe.
Returning for 2012 is the Pukekohe Motorcycle Clubs Harrisville Cross Country, this year on October 14.
Run over the MR Motorcycles Raceway property, using part of the national motocross track, some natural terrain, some motocross and some extreme endurocross sections, bringing together some of NZ’s best off-road talent onto one track.
First run in 2010, the senior race was held over three hours (of approx 10 minutes per lap) and attracted some of the fastest riders from the top half of the North Island. With some of the top riders from enduro, cross country and motocross the team of Blake Gillard and Brandon Tipene came out on top.
Again this year the event will be a fund raiser for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, with proceeds being split between the Auckland and Waikato Regions, providing funding for the services so that when we need it most it will be there.
