Here’s a little bit of footage from the fifth and final round of the New Zealand Enduro Championships, held in forestry near Taupo three weeks ago.
The day was won by Honda’s Karl Power but Yamaha’s Adrian Smith wrapped up the title overall with a strong runner-up finish on the day.
The 2012 Yamaha New Zealand Enduro Championship class winners were:
Auckland’s Callan May (Yamaha, under-200cc two-stroke class);
Hokianga’s Mitchell Nield (Gas Gas, over-200cc two-stroke class);
Mokau’s Adrian Smith (Yamaha, under-300cc four-stroke);
Auckland’s Chris Power (Honda, over-300cc four-stroke class);
Te Awamutu’s Kevin Archer (KTM, veterans’ over-40 years);
Atiamuri’s Tony McLaren (KTM, intermediate under-200cc class);
Putaruru’s Ryan Scherer (Yamaha, intermediate under-300cc four-stroke);
Te Kuiti’s Adam Benefield (Honda, intermediate over-200cc two-stroke class);
Kaukapakapa’s Wayne Bolger (Husaberg, intermediate over-300cc four-stroke class);
Thames’ Natasha Cairns (Husaberg, women’s class);
Putaruru’s Phil Skinner (KTM, intermediate veterans’ 40-49 years’ class);
Whitianga’s Tony Lingard (KTM, intermediate veterans’ over-50 years’ class).
