Welcome to the latest video featuring Kiwi rider Dylan Walsh, who is this season racing the 250cc class in the West Coast Supercross Championships in the United States.
Join us here for a behind the scenes look at what it takes to be a supercross racer at the very highest level.
Sponsored by Monster Energy and riding for the REVO Seven Kawasaki team, Canterbury man Walsh has made a good job of his first crack at the 2022 AMA Supercross Championships, riding in the 250cc West Coast Lites class.
At the opening round of 17 in the American supercross series in Anaheim, in California, Walsh finished 17th place in the final.
Unfortunately, at round two in Oakland, California, he never made it past qualifying, finishing a disappointing fifth in the Last Chance Qualifier and missing the cut for the Main Event.
At round three, at Petco Park, in downtown San Diego, he bounced back to finish 11th overall for the evening.
At round four, Anaheim 2, he managed to finish 11th in the 250cc main event.
This video below shows his experiences at the Triple Crown (three points races) round five, in Arizona, and (spoiler alert) there he finished 12th overall in the 250cc class, keeping him 15th in the series standings.
