New Zealand’s Dylan Walsh is wasting no time in getting his head around racing in a new environment this season.
The young Kiwi rider headed over to the United States towards the end of the 2021 British Motocross Champs and MXGP race season, to get prepared for the 2022 Monster Energy Supercross race season that kicked off in Angels Stadium in Anaheim last weekend.
Sponsored by Monster Energy and riding for the REVO Seven Kawasaki team, Canterbury man Walsh made a good job of his first crack at the 2022 AMA Supercross Championships, riding in the 250cc West Coast Lites class.
At the opening round of 17 in the American supercross series in Anaheim, in California, last weekend, Walsh qualified for the 250cc main event by winning the Last Chance Qualifier (and you can watch that here in this video). He arrived at the finish line in 17th place in the final later that evening.
Round two of the 2022 Monster Energy AMA supercross championship hits Oakland, California, this coming weekend.
