Ongoing health concerns due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic continue to wreak havoc within the motorcycling world.
The world governing body, the FIM; the promoter, ABC Communication; the Spanish Motorcycling Federation and the local organiser regret to announce that the FIM Enduro World Championship event scheduled to take place on November 6-8 in Lalin (in Spain) has been cancelled.
Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of all parties involved, it has not been possible to find a replacement event in Spain in 2020.
With the support of the Portuguese Motorcycling Federation and the local organiser a second event will be added in Marco de Canaveses on November 6-8.
New Zealand currently has Christchurch rider Hamish Macdonald competing in this series, the Sherco rider who also won the New Zealand Enduro Championships for the first time earlier this year.
Macdonald was the 125cc Youth Enduro GP World Champion last season.
Revised 2020 World Enduro Champs Calendar:
18-20 September: Réquista, France;
25-27 September: Spoleto, Italy;
06-08 November: Marco de Canaveses, Portugal;
13-15 November: Marco de Canaveses, Portugal.
