READY TO BUST SOME NUTS
It’s the Nutbuster hard enduro time again.
This year marks the introduction of the prologue Backflips Enduro X at the Christchurch A&P Show, the largest in New Zealand, drawing a huge crowd on show day.
With a top line-up of 17 Gold riders, including Chris Birch, Liam Draper and Jake Whitaker (pictured above) from the North Island and local South Island riders Hamish Macdonald, Angus Macdonald and Jacques Bakkenes. With Angus fresh from his third place in Romaniacs prologue enduroX he’s keen to show the crowd some thrilling racing.
Organisers have gone for a simple, flowing track that will bring some close racing.
“We’ve got the opportunity to showcase our sport to over 40,000 spectators and we want fast, close lively racing. Some show goers will never have seen anything as exhilarating as this!”
Saturday sees the Tracktion Nutbuster in the hills of Woodstock.
Nearly 30 ‘Gold’ riders will be tested endurance wise!
With new sections “Mitchells Crack, Hamburglar Hill, Denasawrus and Jarassic Park, to name a few, a direction change in the creek sections, 45 kilometres of hardness and more than five hours of riding, they’d better have a bit more than jelly beans in their camelbaks.
Any bets on winners this year? A favourite or an outsider, it could be anyone’s!
Silver riders will also be seriously tested and there will be some close racing in that class. This is an event not to be missed.
