TRAVEL BACK IN TIME
We here at BikesportNZ.com take literally thousands of photos at the dozens of events we travel to, but, the shame is, most never see the light of day.
So we have decided to trawl through our archives and dig out some of those shots that either have never been seen before or simply that rate among our favourites and deserve a second viewing … we are calling it our “weekend wind-back”.

Our aim is not to embarrass anyone, but we are sure you’ll all appreciate seeing these old snaps.
Among the riders featured here include Feilding’s Haki Waller, in action at the Wanganui supercross in 2008; Gisborne’s Matt Hunt’s not looking too happy with his face caked in mud. Hunt was one of the winningest riders in New Zealand junior motocross history and now spanners for the KTM team; The legendary Stefan Everts makes a trip to New Zealand to race at Taupo in 2006; Christchurch’s Dennis Charlett, celebrating his winning the national 600cc road-race title in 2008 and he’s still winning races in 2015; Te Puke’s Logan Blackburn at the New Zealand Junior Motocross Championships in 2009; Former national motocross and supercross champion Daryl Atkins, from Tokoroa, who went overseas to race the British MX Champs and Motocross World Championships, before switching to super moto racing. Here he is when he returned to New Zealand to race at the Cemetery Circuit on Boxing Day in 2008; Taupo’s Nick Saunders in action at the Wanganui Supercross in 2008.
