The title “My house in Rome” has a symbolic meaning in the life of the now eight-time motocross world champion Antonio Cairoli.
Rome, the Roman Empire and the Flavian Amphitheatre more commonly known as the Coliseum have helped shape the world we live in; bread and games, the bloody entertainment of the emperors in the first century after Christ, their beautiful women and their nobles; slaves who under the approving eye of the Roman ruler fought the uneven battle against lions and other wild beasts to leave the scene of battle as free men.
“Acta non Verba”, which means “Deeds, not words”, is a Latin saying from that era, words that are written on the body of the reigning MXGP world champion.
