Heading to Taupo this weekend?

There is a Speedcross practice day planned for this Saturday, between 1pm and 4pm.

Ben Townley and Brad Groombridge will be there, along with plenty of others, to give the Digger McEwen track’s speedcross facility a good work-out.

It will cost $10 for minis and juniors and $25 for seniors.

Speedcross is Townley’s brain-child. The concept is for a slightly modified version of supercross racing (called Speedcross), which features double jumps and tabletops, just like in regular supercross events, but also has a long sweeping speedway-style section.
