It’s a joy every time we head across to the Motocross of Nations … the colour, the excitement, the intensity, the drama, the rivalries, the emotions … it really is the greatest show on turf.

BikesportNZ.com has only skipped one of the past 10 or so MXoN events, but this year’s big race at Teutschenthal in Germany would have to rate as one of the best.

Roczen versus Tomac, Cairoli versus Metcalfe, De Dycker, Bobryshev and Nagl or the fighting, never-say-die attitudes of Searle, Barcia, Desalle and Ferris, this year’s MXoN had it all.

The big crash by Tomac; the come-from-behind ride by De Dycker; the Monster girls and their tee-shirt give-aways; the MX1 drinking team from the UK; the face-painted Belgians; the German fans and their chainsaws … there was just so much to take in.

Thankfully we have wonderful video footage like the clip below to capture the essence of it all.
