Blake Baggett, Kyle Cunningham, Jason Anderson, Zach Osborne, Jeremy Martin, Adam Cianciarulo, Justin Bogle, Cole Seely, Justin Hill, and Martin Davalos (2:13) round out the top 14.
In 450 qualifying, the quickest lap is turned in by series points leader Ryan Villopoto – 2m 7s. At the end of five laps, it was Dungey leading James Stewart by about four seconds. Villopoto was now third behind Stewart. Barcia was fourth. Then Short, Grant, Alessi, Peick, R Sipes, and Chad Reed.
On lap ten, going up a big hill – HorsePower Hill, Stewart is holding off Villopoto. And as they emerge out of the trees from the backside of the track – Villopoto is second!
At the end of this 30 minute plus two lap moto (17 laps), Ryan Dungey has won! Ryan Villopoto took second and James Stewart third.
250 Moto 1 – it’s number 34 Justin Bogle on the GEICO Honda with the holeshot. And his team-mate Tomac is second. At the end of lap one – it’s Bogle, Tomac, Blake Baggett, Marvin Musquin, Martin Davalos, Justin Hill, Cooper Webb, Zach Osborne, Ken Roczen ninth, and Vince Friese tenth.
Meanwhile, Tomac has moved into first place, passing Bogle for the lead. Third place belongs to defending national champion Baggett. Marvin Musquin is fourth, Martin Davalos fifth and Roczen is up to sixth!

On lap 14 – tremendous racing luck for Ken Roczen. Blake Baggett – who was running second, is now parked on the side of the track. His bike has stopped running.
The finish – Eli Tomac wins this 16 lap race! Ken Roczen finishes second, albeit almost 25 seconds back. Marvin Musquin has closed up on teammate Ken Roczen, but finishes third. Justin Bogle fourth. Then Justin Hill, Adam Cianciarulo, Martin Davalos, Kyle Cunningham, Cole Seely, and Wil Hahn.
Tomac gains three points on Roczen. Coming into the second moto, Roczen leads Tomac by four points in the championship chase.
450 Moto 2 and the sun is coming out and the track is drying out a bit. Ryan Dungey and Ryan Villopoto lead the way.
At the end of lap one, it’s Dungey leading, Villopoto second, and James Stewart third.
On lap four, Villopoto squeezes past Dungey and into the lead.
As they complete lap five, here is the top 10: Villopoto, Dungey, Stewart, Josh Grant, Jake Weimer, Chad Reed, Broc Tickle, Phil Nicoletti, Andrew Short, and Mike Alessi.
If they finish this way – Villopoto first, Dungey second – they will tie on points – 47 each. However, Villopoto would take the overall victory, based on the tie-breaker, which is the better second moto performance.
After 12 laps into this race, Villopoto leads Dungey by eight seconds. James Stewart is third, almost 30 seconds behind Dungey. Then it’s Weimer, Tickle, Chad Reed with his best ride in a while, Alessi, Nicoletti, Grant, and Short.

As they start lap four, Tomac leads Roczen by just under three seconds …
As they start lap ten, it looks like Eli Tomac has put his stamp on this race, and the overall. He leads Ken Roczen by almost 14 seconds. If they stay in this position, Tomac will gain another three points on Roczen.
