Former US supercross champion Ryan Dungey has won round two of this year’s series in Phoenix – leading the main event from start to finish – and he has rocketed into the championship points lead.

His win elevated The KTM ace past round one winner Ryan Villopoto (Kawasaki), who showed incredible pace and tenacity to battle back from 18th spot on lap one to pass 15 riders and to eventually claim third spot at the finish.
