TEAM NZ READY
Team New Zealand is ready and willing.
The 2011 Motocross of Nations is about to kick off and Team NZ — Joel Doeksen, Kieran Scheele and John Phillips — are all set up and ready to go.
There is a fine tradition that this “development squad” from New Zealand must live up to … at least a holeshot is required.
BikesportNZ.com was on hand to see Mount Maunganui’s Cody Cooper win his MX3 class at the qualifying stage at the MXoN at Donington Park in England in 2008; we were there when Queenstown’s Scotty Columb holeshot one of his main event races at the MXoN in Italy in 2009 and BikesportNZ.com witnessed Taupo’s Brad Groombridge scoring a holeshot in one of his races at the MXoN in Denver, Colorado, last season, as well as Taupo’s Ben Townley winning one of his two main event races.
No pressure guys, but the world is watching … good luck … or should that be “bon chance”.
