Here’s some of the action from rounds one and two of the North Island Moto Trials Championships in the Wellington region at the weekend.

As expected, Waimuiomata’s Jake Whitaker dominated day one of the experts grade, while other outstanding performances came from Tauranga’s Jacob Gundry (juniors grade), Tauranga’s Phillip Shilton (A grade), Rotorua’s John Haynes (intermediates) and Tauranga’s Peter Haynes (clubmans), with Tauranga’s Gabby Gundry very close behind in second spot in the clubmans grade.

Rounds three and four of the competition are set for Tauranga on April 2-3.
