WINTER SERIES ROUND ONE
The long, dry summer has finally broken north of Auckland’s harbour bridge, which means the long-standing iconic’ motocross venue of Fell’s Farm at Kuakapakapa can finally prime its start gate again.
Dust is no longer an issue and conditions are reported to be fantastic.
Queen’s Birthday Monday, June 7, is round one of the winter series at this popular natural terrain venue.
Given the massive popularity of the Pukekohe Club’s recently completed natural terrain series south of Auckland in the Counties region, the organisers at Fell’s Farm have decided to cut the man-made challenges from the circuit and go back to its natural, wide open, flowing, original format.
The ‘bums-on-seats’ entry numbers confirm that’s what the moto-public like most.
There are classes for all, juniors-seniors-vets-ATVs. Three moto format per class with feature races at day’s end. Fells always attracts a big entry and top local Auckland-based competitors such as Aiden Kiff, Evan Hood, Josh Jack (pictured above), Ollie Sharp, Toby Summers and Blake Gillard, to name just a few, often answer the starter’s call.
Fell’s is the last true, permanent natural terrain venue available on a regular basis to the Auckland motocross community, and as such is supported strongly by the industry.
Cyclespot, Henderson Yamaha, Bikesportnz.com, Warkworth Honda, Motomuck and Colemans Suzuki have all put their support behind the series yet again.
No competition license is required, sign-on finishes at 9.30am and spectator entry is free. Food and drink catering at venue. St Johns and Ambulance all ways at Fell’s Farm. Visit the fellsfarm link here on BikesportNZ.com for further info’ or call Ken Fell on 0274749333.
