ANOTHER KIWI WEEKEND?
This weekend is round two of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships, set for Texas, and Kiwi ace Ben Townley will be looking to push on from the outstanding moto two success he enjoyed at last weekend’s US Grand Prix.
Tauranga’s Townley (Troy Lee Designs Honda) finished sixth and seventh at the opening round of the US national motocross series at the Hangtown circuit in Sacramento, California, a fortnight ago, good enough to place him sixth in the series standings.
The defending US champion, Australian Chad Reed (Kawasaki), finished 1-3 to win the day at Hangtown and lead the 450cc class after the opening round.
