Regarding round two of the New Zealand Motocross Championships and the new COVID-19 pandemic alert levels, motorcycling sport’s governing body in New Zealand wishes to advise that all positive measures are being considered.
With the changes in COVID-19 alert levels that came into force last night, 11.59pm Sunday, February 14, MNZ wishes to advise that it will be monitoring the situation over the next two days.
In consultation with the host Rotorua Motorcycle Club, a decision will be made after the government makes its announcement on Wednesday, February 17 regarding round two of the Senior New Zealand Motocross Championships, which are due to be held this Sunday, February 21.
At all times the welfare of members, clubs, staff and volunteers are paramount in the minds of MNZ.
MNZ wishes to thank riders, fans, sponsors and other stakeholders for their understanding as it works through the next two days.
