Round three of the New Zealand Motocross Championships has been cancelled.
Motorcycling New Zealand, in consultation with the Hawke’s Bay Motorcycle Club, wishes to advise that, due to road closures and flooding in the area, with more heavy rain expected in the next 24-48 hours, it has decided to cancel round three of the New Zealand Motocross Championships, which were to be held this Sunday at Fernhill, near Napier.
MNZ says it has “taken all considerations into account and this hasn’t been an easy decision to make but feel it is in the best interest of riders, sponsors and the Hawke’s Bay Motorcycle Club”.
MNZ says that more details will be released within the next 48 hours.
